May. 10th, 2005 02:28 pmHaul today:
MY SHOES! The brown and white brogues, which the website tells me only come in size 8 and 9, and the US dealer told me I wasn't allowed to buy, and they just happened to be in a Cardiff high street shop in only my size. Fate, clearly.
-mental note: Not only hippy top. Tweed jacket also attracts hippies in bibs. I'm sorry! I have no money! I already give more than I can afford to Amnesty!
REPLACEMENT 'The Little Prince' which I gave away because I'd forgotten a birthday. I always need a copy of this books so I remember not to grow up to much.
TWO BOXES camomile and spiced apple tea (they were the last two in the shop and better safe than sorry - it's kind of a necessary stress relief)
ONE BOX pear and apple green tea, contributing to my ongoing quest to try aaaaalll the apple teas.
MOZART'S REQUIEM on cassette because my mum used to play it an awful lot and I miss home.
'INTERPRETER OF MALADIES' by Jhumpa Lahiri because I'm incapable of leaving town without buying at least one book. It's from a charity shop, in very good nick, and looks good. (And yes, I bought the little prince too, but it was only a pound and therefore doesn't count. Also, I've read it before.)
And finally and most importantly, packages and letters from
schiarire and
fahye which totally started off my day brilliantly. Thanks so much, both of you, and expect return letters and goodies posthaste!
