Aug. 25th, 2005 11:49 amBecause I am a ginormous ass-faced spammy ro-bot whore, I shall not ETA an old entry, but instead write a new one.
I forgot to mention, I think, that I'm starting work on Tuesday. It's full time, it's £5 an hour, it's filing. I'm having a week's training in the store that's about twenty minutes walk away, but I will, in fact, be working in the one just around the corner. I need to go shopping for some smart clothes, black trousers, which is a disadvantage considering how much I hate shopping, but it is a small price to pay for a regular pay packet.
Mum gave me garibaldi. I love that she remembers that I love it. I mean, it's always great when someone does something inexpensive but thoughtful. Something that shows they pay attention, you know? So I think I can forgive her for saying, as one of the first comments to my informing her I have a job, that hey! Now I can afford to join weight watchers! Grr.
Hair went down well with Spike, Mrs Spike, babbee Spike (who is now talking SO MUCH and making me draw her horses and spiders), the little ginger wizard and Circus Boy.
There'll be pics of it eventually, honest.
It feels so good to have a job. It's just... a weight I didn't even know I was carrying, all gone.
Thanks so much for bearing with me during all the whining. You have no idea how much it means. :)
