Corpse Bride tonight. And tomorrow Hallowe'en costume searching, which will be interesting. Incidentally, manynames? Have you seen the puca_project? 'cos I might end up doing something for that, and it would be a cool occasion to meet up, do some good, maybe go for a drink after?

Work was busy as all get out again today, but I had the comfort zone of knowing that I had survived a ridiculously busy day already, dammit, I could do it again. So I coped rather better with rather less threatening of tears than yesterday, and it reminds me that every day's going to get a little bit easier. And I'm getting paid on Friday. Woomch!

I guess I should go finish reading Dark Tower. Only... this close to the end, I just... want to drag it out a little longer. I don't want it to end. I need to know what happens, because all the spoilers are already past, but.

It's not the best thing I've ever read, but it's compelling. Like Harry Potter, but better. It's something I just want to keep going.

Plus which, when I finish it means I have to find the damned Patrick O'Brian book I mislaid, which I suspect will mean tidying my room. And that's just crap. XD

If you're tidying your room, and getting paid, do you have a day off coming up for a bit of a shopping trip - even if it's only to look - for desks?

It would be great to get out and IKEA do brilliantly cheap foods for lunch etc.

Actually I have a desk being delivered, but the offer is hugely appreciated. I'm going shopping tomorrow afternoon for Hallowe'en costumeness if you're interested? Probably going to tour the arcades, grab a cornish pasty, stare at everything in Forbidden Planet longingly...

We can have a relaxed approach to shopping - doesn't have to be tomorrow, if one day next week works best for you then that's fine with me too - in some ways it could work out better (though that wouldn't be so easy for Hallowe'en shopping - not unless we're buying time-turners too!). I need to be a bit flexible sometimes, see if my body will allow me to be awake or not!

I've been examining my wardrobe to see if I've got anything at all promising. As, for some truly bizarre reason, I have not one but two "I just stepped out of a Hammer horror movie and am ready to be bitten, please" ball gowns, I think I might be able to cobble something together!
