1. An icon made just for me.
2. A letter or card from someone on my f-list.
3. Angel wings.
4. A turtle of some description.
5. A second hand book, with a note in the front cover.
6. A Quint Buchholz poster.
7. A story involving stained glass or angels.
8. The Vintner's Luck fanart/fanfiction.
9. Pretty stationery.
10. Paul Bettany films. XD

My email's annysthetized (at) gmail.com, if you could be persuaded to send a card, and want my address.

STEP ONE
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO
Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. and now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.

You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

If anyone else's done one of these, let me know?

*hopeful face*

You've been reindeer'd. :D

Alternately, happy Sam Has Photoshop And Was Bored day.

Plz note this was not in response to your wishlist as actual gifties will be impending at a later date. :D

8. The Vintner's Luck fanart/fanfiction.

Oh my god. I think I may steal that one to put on my own wishlist. *hearts that book SO MUCH*

Wow. I thought the only other people who had read Vintner's Luck had been the ones to whom I'd lent it.

Everything in me wants to ask for your address and promise to send you a card. The problem is, I know I won't get a round tuit. No matter how hard I try, snail mail always gets put off until it's too late. I've so got to send my mother's birthday gift in the next couple days. Really, I hate this about myself. I don't think I've ever sent a Thank You note in my whole life, and if I ever sent cards to a Christmas list, I don't remember it. **whacks self soundly**

This is a lovely idea (and a lovely list). Just to clarify... do you want a second-hand book with a note to a random person in it, or a book with a note to you?

I'll have to make one of these too. *puts on to-do list*

*giggles* either or, really. Personal notes are cool, but random and rambling notes to and from someone you've never met are bizarre and fascinating. XD

I definitely agree. I found a book on kids' religious beliefs (for a class) and it had this long, involved note on the front page about how this should be the "new spiritual book" for the receiver. Sad that they sold it :-(

And, the fact that you answered me as Aziraphale? About books, and with giggles? TOTALLY made my day.

One word (well, two, but they're linked by underscore): [livejournal.com profile] holiday_wishes.

I haven't posted one, yet, but I plan to. :D So much fun! (I've got about six to grant, so far...)
