I'm scared and can't help wondering is there any nation on this world that does not consistantly feature such a bias in their legislature? I can't think of a single one and that both terrifies and enrages me.

i remember being taught as a teenager that (at least in the state i lived in at the time; and, that state being what it is, it must be true in several if not most other states as well) there is no such thing as drunken consent. if a person is too drunk to consent (defined as having a blood alcohol content past a particular limit, which of course nobody's going to measure before hooking up at a party, and therefore advised to be defined as 'having been drinking') then there can be no consent, so that there is statutory rape. and the article you've linked to is a pretty good illustration of why such statutes are on the books.
