I am officially, at present, a Satisfactory teacher. Which is fine; keep it up for three observations and I've passed me an NQT year. But I can do better.

You can, and you will, I'm sure. But I want to say that in this context 'satisfactory' doesn't mean 'eh, you're a bit crap but you'll do': it means 'you have reached a standard where we are happy that you can be trusted to teach our children and do a reasonably good job'. That's HUGE! even before we get to the fact that these things aren't, like, divine judgements and there will be some kids you find more difficult and some you are the perfect teacher for and who will remember you with love for the rest of their lives, that's huge! You can be legitimately thrilled about that!
