I think I will attempt miniest of nanos - 100 words a day through November. It sounds like a reasonable target that will have the added benefit of maintaining my sanity. So if you want a drabble I guess now's the time? Prompt with a character, random word, picture, colour, whatever you like.

No guarantees, as usual with these things. I suck at completion.

The tiny ball of bedraggled fluff bared its minute teeth and hissed fit to burst; I would that I could say that my friend took this insult manfully. Instead Carstairs, being a Carstairs (and one of long standing) took umbrage and hissed back, baring his own teeth and a sizeable amount of tongue. It was all that I could do not to sigh at him like a crotchety maiden aunt.

Torn between the two naturally my concern was first for the kitten; I did, however, toss my handkerchief to Carstairs who was nursing the scratches that marred his pale hands.
