Dear snow:
It is March. What, I ask you, The Fuck?
Nny.
Man it is no fun working in a shop where company policy is keeping doors open and it is snowing outside. On the upside, have glazed and put together 18 pairs of glasses today, so I'm feeling a sense of great accomplishment.
I'm pondering entering a writing competition in a newspaper; it's a trashy tabloid of a newspaper, and it's being judged by Jeremy Clarkson (and some other people, although I can't remember who) and it has to be 1000 words or under. I don't know if I remember how to write about anything that ain't fandom. And what on earth do I write about? Would weird shortfic about vampires or angels go down well in a 'paper that's known for its page three girls, or should I be wooing the great Mr Clarkson with a story about cars? (Wow, mental note, no mention of ANY CARS at ALL for fear of the red pen).
I'm starting to get into the mindset where I'm counting down how long it is until I can leave specsavers. Until I can leave Cardiff. It's not the place for me, that's getting clearer as I go on, and I'm just so looking forward to starting out somewhere new.
