Apparently my ex-employers are having a very hard time keeping on top of the workload without me, and my lab supervisor was absolutely furious that they chose to 'terminate my employment'.

Meanwhile, my stomach has improved ridiculously, I'm sleeping well and having excellent dreams, and suddenly I'm feeling chirpy and creative.

You will permit me, I hope, a small dance of intense smugness.

BWAHAHAHAHA! I knew they would live to regret it!

Well, maybe not live. I guess they didn't buy the arsenic-in-the-post thing as a spice sample after all. Or maybe they don't like Cajun.

But I knew they would regret it! Yes!

Wait, wait, wait, terminate your employment? What? Is that even legal?(Was offline for three days. Looks like I'll never be able to catch up now. Eeeep.)

Erm, any chance they'll give you your job back, in these circumstances? Though of course, if you are now feeling so much better on so many different levels -- I guess it's a good thing you're no longer working for them. *hugs you* wah, what idiots.

Hm. When my dad was working, he was taking meds for high blood pressure. He then retires, and two weeks later he goes in for a normal doctor's appointment.

They kept him in the hospital overnight, because his blood pressure had gotten so low, they were worried. Needless to say, they took him off the high bp meds. He didn't think his job before had been that stressful, but apparently it had been. Looks the same for yours- good that you're out of it- and even better that they're getting the short end of the stick!
