May. 6th, 2006 02:18 pmI appear to have caught my flatmate's cold thing, and am leaking like a trooper.
With a hole in.
I went to a metal night last night, which was certainly interesting; the music started good, went awful about the time we wanted to dance, and then perked up rather. There was some, like, Bon Jovi and Metallica and suchlike, which made me laugh, but this really brought home the fact that I'm just not metal any more. A very hot young lady did comment favourably on my Nny shirt, but... I don't know. Metal takes too much effort to maintain, and any night out is a meat market, seems like, and I'm just not as interested as I used to be. The upside of that, of course, is that I don't actually care about being noticed or looking cool, and can just moshalike with abandon.
Generally a success, I think, apart from the bit where someone accidentally stubbed a cigarette out on my head. I now have a small area of crispy hair and localised pain. Which is fun!
...shit. Now I have 'bad medicine' in my head.
Anyway! My playlist still has some metal on it, ish, still has some punk, has folk and pop and hip hop and classical and all sorts, really.
If you want a song, leave a comment.
Be as specific as you like. You can ask for an artist, although I won't guarantee I'll have it. You could request a song to suit a mood, or a particular genre, or whatever you'd like. I have errands to be doing today on the 'nets, so I should get back to you rather more promptly than I do for fic requests. XD

Date: 2006-05-06 11:16 am (UTC)It was one of few things I'd heard of, though. I mean, I was in the nu-metal scene in college, which was a good four years ago now, and it moves on quickly. I felt so dreadfully lost, but in a reasonably chirpy way. The Stella Artois may well have helped. XD
