I went to the shop and I went HOLY CRAP passport photos are expensive and I look like some sort of windswept tweed salesperson but NEVER MIND and I bought ingredients and dinner and then I came back and added things together until it looked vaguely the right sort of consistency and bunged it in the oven and am currently in the 'hope' part of the recipe.

THIS IS A TOTALLY VALID FORM OF BAKING.

Shut up.

There's another form of baking?

See? This is why I love you.

I was going to say "ditto," but really it's the "windswept tweed salesperson" bit here that is why I love you. The baking style is a bonus.

Your love will be sorely tested if you ever try to eat anything I've made, of course.

*makes note*

I already started writing a reply to the letter you will send me to reply to the letter I sent you. HOW ORGANISED IS THAT?

*giggling*

Right, then. My letter of reply will have to include a reply to the letter you'll send after you send the letter in reply to the letter in reply I haven't sent yet.

...

And then we can DESTROY TIME ITSELF!

I think I'll go to France another day.

My brownies look, and smell, like food.

I don't trust them.

They are Planning Something.

Then you had best eat them quickly, before they can cool and lose their delicious hot chewiness mount an assault. :O

florahart: a bunch of unrefined produce being bountiful (food)

Sure it is. I have a breakfast cake thing I make, in which I know this about the recipe (which I have lost):

It has fundamentally the same ingredients as sugar cookies )flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, butter, vanilla. Only, it's more battery and less doughy than cookie dough.

It has more flour than sugar, and more baking powder than salt. More milk than butter (melted) and butter than egg. More flour (twice as much?) than milk.

Once all these things are put together, it makes a one-round-pan-ish amount. Frozen or fresh fruit shaken in cinnamon and sugar go on top (and sink in during baking up around it, and it bakes at a cake-ish temperature. 325? 350? (F) Something like that.

Regardless of my lack of real recipe, this always turns out tres yummy, poofy, and unburned, though I'm not entirely sure I've ever made it the same twice.

So. Totally valid, yes.

...bugger. I forgot vanilla.

It sounds interesting, though, I shall totally have to steal your mishmash.

i've been known to throw things together in a fry pan with the hopes that, in the end, it'll taste alright to eat for lunch or dinner :)
