I had an English GCSE lesson earlier today and since I wasn't much use to the students I did some marking for the teacher. Who has now asked me if I want to take a lesson later, maybe. Or co-teach a lesson, if I don't want to do it entirely on my own.

The words "HELL FUCKING YEAH" come to mind, although fortunately not mouth.

:D!!!

I'm also reading a lot of criticism and theory for my A-level, and I'm probably working at a higher level than is strictly necessary for this but it wouldn't hold my interest if I weren't. (I don't mean to sound like a pretentious arse here, just I discussed a lot of this stuff with Bigger throughout her degree, so.)Some of the theories are absolutely fascinating and are making me want to look into post modernism and the like; weirdly I'm hugely interested in how language theory is applicable to religion, in more ways than the post I made previously about whether or not it's innate. I have no idea if this is at all useful to anyone other than me, but it's nice to have an academic interest in something, y'know?

ETA: Also, forgot to mention, I'll be going to an introductory session for a course on British Sign Language tomorrow after work. Busy busy busy, eh? :D

DUDE. YOU SO WIN.

also, you are going to kick so much ass at your A-level. Seriously. (and yes, the later stuff is mostly much more interesting.)

I'm going to bore you senseless with it over half term. And over the phone, too, once you let me know your number. :D

It's great to read about you being all positive and feeling good about stuff - and about yourself. Go you. You deserve it.

(I don't know if I'm forgetful, or if perhaps it was an flocked post and so I didn't see - what A level are you doing?)

English Lit; I've done a degree in the language side but never did an A-level in Lit and I need it if I'm to train as an English teacher.
