HELP ME HELP ME OMG I AM SO ITCHY!!!

My leg is itching. And so I go... okay, leg. You are itching reasonably high up, so there's no danger of catching bugbite and infection and pus and gangrene and death, so I will oblige. And leg goes aaaaaaah. Nny, you're a good friend to me. Just a little lower. And I go, okay. A little lower. And leg goes oh baaaaaaaaaaby that's good. Keep going. Just a little lower. And I go, o- HEY! YOU SNEAKY BUGBITE BASTARD! DAMN YOU AND YOUR INFECTION TEMPTY WAYS! And my leg goes, heh. Almost had ya, though, didn't I? Let down your guard for one second...

It's like a horror film. I'll be in my bed with a baseball bat and a vat of coffee, before the end of this. Must... not... succumb...

I am itchy as I write this. So. Very. Itchy.

Hot or cold will help!

Ice cubes or hot flannel? Or, um. Numbing cream of some description!

augh I HATE those.

A mosquito (possibly with friends) has infiltrated our bedroom. My legs are bitey like they haven't been since I was ten.

Grrrrr.

Well, good, otherwise it was going to be the shaved chickens again.

And those are undignified.

I second the ice. Ice down your itch, whether it be bugbite or something else. It really does help.

Also it helps you relieve your frustration by cursing loudly at the top of your lungs because HOMG COLD.

I took a hot shower, hot as I could stand it, when I developed hives after taking antibiotics. It hurts like hell for a few minutes, but once the histamines are released you feel so much better and the itching stops for quite a while.

Hot shower + anti-histamine cream = comfort.

Take some baking soda and mix it with water until it makes a paste, then spread the paste on the itchybits. Wait until it dries and then wash it off. :)
