nny: (I'd rather be reading)

Man, I had a nap after work and I feel quite fantastic now. Feel like I've caught up on a week's worth of sleep in maybe an hour and a half; this is possibly something I should consider doing more often, although not too much since I have no idea how I'd fit it in. I do have an awful lot to do.

Work continues apace, A-level continues slowly, I'm looking forward to half term. I've booked tickets to go and see [livejournal.com profile] soupytwist, which I'm rather squeeful about, and I'm taking my sister (whom I haven't seen since Christmas) out for lunch also. There will also be enough days left over to buckle down and do some work and even possibly do a bit of Christmas shopping. Le gasp! Weekends really just aren't long enough, I've found, but I shan't complain because birthday's on a Sunday this year. So glad of that.

Anyway, I'm going to go whizz through my f-list and drop off the face of the earth again until rather later - I'm reading Temeraire and although it's been a long time since I've been tempted to neglect the internet and you lot in favout of a book, this is seriously inspiring the urge.

Trust me, you need to buy this book. :D

ETA: I don't say zee, I say zed. I've never felt so cool.

XD

Srsly. I finished book 3 last night, and am torn between "wah, no more Temeraire until 4 comes out" and "whew, no more Temeraire, now I can get other stuff done in my free time again".

question - is Tremeraire actually the name of the book? 'cause ya know, if it's the same book as I'm thinking, in the States it's called His Majesty's Dragon... or at least, book 1 is. I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

yup, just had to comment for that.

also, being american, I say zee, but only because it's what I grew up with. If I could get zed to roll off my tongue as easily as hherb (double h for the pronouncing-it part) or 'bin' instead of 'trash(can)' I'd say it. 'cause I love the brit-speak. *shrug*
