I have been to the doctor and have learned to use capslock instead of shift. I have temporary arthritis in my legs, hips, arms and shoulders which has apparently been caused by a virus. Have anti-inflammatories to take. I will tag what needs tagging just SLOWLY, but apart from that i may not be around much. My priority is pretty much surviving work. Not feeling great. I'd ask for emails but it's taken about five minutes typing this one handed so I couldn't get back to ye.

TAke care all.

Oh, god, I am with you on the sheer reduce-you-to-literally-just-sitting-down-and-crying agony of temporary arthritis. Look on the bright side. At least you don't have to walk down the stairs from the top row of seats in the Royal Albert have anti-inflammatories!

A belated P.S.:

I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but really-truly it is better to keep moving, if only very slightly/gently. It hurts like bugfuck, I know (do I ever), but it's infinitely, infinitely better than staying in one position for a while and then trying to move.

Seriously.

Trust me on this.

THIRDLY (and I'll shut up now, I promise), hot, hot baths with various arcane and mysterious bath powders sprinkled in are sogood, oh god, SO GOOD, and I understand so very well the urge to lie in them constantly, but. Don't stay in too long, and be 100% sure you'll be able to get yourself out of the bath when you're done (remember - it'll be wet). Otherwise, if you're not prepared to get someone to come in to help you out of the bath? Hot showers are less effective, but still good.

Thank you. definitely keeping in mind about the moving thing - no real choice about it currently because G is very sick and dad is bad at the whole looking after thing, but yeah - i'm walking around but stairs are EVIL and should be extermnnated.

Bath last night suggests showers are a good plan for a while at least. :/

:(

On the other hand, the 'temporary' part is the best thing I've heard yet this morning. *pats carefully*

temporary s good but it's, like, worst possible time. isn't it always, though. Sigh. How is your couch?

Temporary is good. Temporary I approve of, if you've got to have arthritis at all. Do you know which virus?

Rest and feel better, hon.

nah, doctors seem incapable of coming up with anything solid when it comes to me. They say i will have to wait 2/3 weeks for scan results so should discuss this further then.

yay?

Halleluia for "temporary". (I hope it's a very short kind of temporary!)

Anti-inflammatories, tea and sleep are all very good things. Be well soon!

Oh you poor thing. Having lived with someone who's suffered that sort of short time but dreadfully painful arthritis I'm wincing with you big time. Take care of yourself, take the anti-inflammatories just as they're prescribed and do everything you can to make it easy on yourself. I understand your reasoning for going to work, but don't put yourself in any sort of 'danger' fot it. Hopefully the day will pass quicker for having something to do and to absorb your mind though.

*many hugs*
