I've just discovered, while sorting through all of the paperwork I've collected over the past five years, ish, that I have a graduate account. What this means is that I can have an overdraft that's about £800 larger than the one I already have.

God damn but it's tempting to yell SCREW IT and buy a new computer. XD

I've been tidying my room for a good twelve hours and I'm so not close to done. I got distracted frequently, but bloody hell I'm such a hoarder. So much useless stuff that I just cannot bear to part with for no good reason. I have found a whole bunch more drawings of angels, which is pretty funky, but I've also found so many ridiculous plastic toys and stuff that I know I should get rid of but I just can't do it. Woe! I should be ruthless with myself, but I did that with my CDs and yesterday had cravings for everything I'd taken to the charity shop. Always the bloody way. I'm gonna go attempt to make room on my bed for a sleepy Nny, now - there might be burrowing involved. I will catch yez all on the other side. ;)

Suggestion: find someone highly tech-savvy at the uni, and have him/her build you a new computer. Much cheaper than out-of-the-box, and more readily tailored to what you really need -- should be able to reuse some things, like the case, and the monitor and keyboard, if they're still serviceable.

That is to say: well, yes, screw it, new computer. But one can do so cannily .... ;]
