I don't think it's fair that after they steal all your blood, they then tape a cotton wool ball to your arm with tape that then tries to rip your arm off upon removal. Next time I go I'm going to sulk at them until I get novelty plasters, dammit. Also, the woman who was removing the red water from my body then turned around in the middle to have a chat and made a big bruise. Pmmph. Three big ol' vials of liquid today, which has made my arm ache horribly, and the whole walking down there thing has broken my feet. I'm all cripply but still vaguely cheerful.

Cripply actually sounds like a really interesting texture. Like... I dunno, the ripples in sand you get under shallow water, where the sand still ensures it's a little bit crunchy even though it looks so smooth. :D

I'm having a lot of difficulty with writing, right now, which is enormously frustrating. Both physically, this is, and mentally - I have the ideas, all right, it's just the execution that's defeating me. The words won't answer, sir! It's killing me because SG:A is possibly prompting the most fic ideas upon initial consumption of any fandom I've ever been in ever, and I know precisely how they ought to go, I just can't write them.

Blah. It's not as though I have the time at the moment anyway. Any words I do manage to squeeze out are in service of my exchange fics.

Anyway, I must away - there's only so much time off you can take for a blood test, let's face it.

Yicky.

Next time you get blood tests, because even if these blood tests magically cure things you probably will get blood tests again Someday, try telling them that you're allergic to the tape.

Last blood test I got, I told the phlebotomist (which is, in fact, a fantastic word, and also the name for the lady-or-man vampiring the red water out) that I hated it and it was icky and made my arm yucky for a week, and she sympathised and then wrapped this bandage thing entirely around my arm, saying that it would stick to itself instead of me, and that I should ask for it next time, or just claim allergy.

So yes.

*snuggles you*

Fate is apparently unkind to people with names the same as you and I, this season, but I know that we are both stubborn enough to bitch him out until he shuts up and deals another hand. >_>

Yes, this. I don't let them band-aid me because I like keeping my skin attached to me where possible--I mean, hell, I had a needle biopsy of my breast one time, and the biopsy itself was no big, but getting the bandaid off my breast was so, so not okay. When taking off the bandaid is worse than checking suspicious lumpiness for cancer, that's just not right.

So yes, for blood drawing: cotton ball and then wrap around with that wrap stuff that isn't adhesive but does stick to itself. It even comes in fun colors.

Blood tests are teh suck. So is crippling pain an' stuff! I am sending you happy vibes from Australia. They're all hot and unpleasantly tropical, because summer is suck, but they smell like mangoes and other bright coloured things.

...Er, that is to say, I wish you lots of good things. In a slightly silly and incoherent way, but such is I. :D

Oh my god, other people get the arm-ripping tape, too? Even across the seeea? Like, I can't bend my arm with that stuff on because it wants to go riiiip.

My dad used to be a phlebotomist. I'll ask him why, why, why they're evil ;_;
