Jan. 3rd, 2007 03:54 pm...my little sister just randomly made me a smoothie. Completely derailing my train of thought incidentally, but :D!
My computer's getting delivered tomorrow. The word SQUEE does not do it justice, seriously. Is there a quick way to transfer things across from one computer to the other? When I have only one monitor between them? Or is it best just to upload the various things I want onto the internet and then download 'em on the new computer?
I have decided, by the by, not to be scared. There's no bloody need for it. Like today, when there was an inset day and we were discussing various options, and my opinions were totally valid and useful so hell, I spoke up. And then we were in the canteen, and usually I hide during break/lunch but fukkit. Most of the people I meet like me, I think, so why should I be scared about being rejected by the people I work with? If they choose not to talk to me that's kind of a shame, but it's really no reflection on me, I think. A lot of the things I'm scared of are more habit than anything. The adrenaline and squirmy-stomach feeling are merely learned responses to situations, and I can get past them.
*nods decisively*
I believe I made a hell of a lot of progress, last year. Not gonna stop now. :D
