nnyI'm exhausted. Been up since 4:45am. I'm far too tired to go into any sort of detail because I was stuck on the train for three and a half hours - should have been one and a half. Grr.
Basically? If they don't want me on the course, it's their problem, not mine. I did the best interview I could, I was confident and prepared, I gave informed answers, I related in my experience, all that good stuff. This is the first time I've had a job where I am absolutely convinced that I can do it well, and I think that came across. I was the oldest applicant, I think, and had the most experience both in the real world and within the education field. Best thing? I was chatting to a bunch of people who were waiting for their interviews or had just come out, and I am so completely improving in general confidence, small talk, all that stuff that's helpful when it comes to surviving in RL. I think they all got a good impression of me, and that's really a good feeling.
(I feel like a grown up, and for the first time that ain't a bad thing.)
So, yeah. Gonna find out within 10 days whether I have a place or not. Here's hoping.
Oh, and more good news - Dell got in contact today about compensation. I missed the call, but I'll phone 'em tomorrow. :D
