Apr. 3rd, 2007 02:01 pmJust went to a funeral for one of my students. It was a really lovely service, actually, and it was nice to hear about how he enjoyed his time working with us, and how mischievous he used to be as a child before the muscular dystrophy progressed enough to have him immobile.
I didn't think much of the vicar - entirely too comedy oriented for a funeral - but I think said student would have been laughing at him when he was bopping to Aerosmith behind the pulpit.
I didn't expect to cry, I have to say.
It was really nice catching up with former workmates for a drink, though, and we'll be doing so again soon, with more drink and less woe hopefully.
Anyway, take care of yourself over the next few days, aye?
