I definitely don't have rheumatoid arthritis, apparently, which is nice. Rheumatologist kept saying that there was 'nothing sinister' and that it is, in all likelihood, something viral which will dissipate over the next few months. Which is pretty much what I've been told all along, but it's nice to be told by an expert. Got blood drained from a different part of my arm than usual, which was mildly diverting - my life is sad and lacking in variation, clearly - and got bent every which way, resulting in big neck and back pain. I'll go back into work when it's eased off a little, I think. Next up on the agenda: X-rays of my hands, feet and back, and some physiotherapy at some point. :D

I proved my intense shallowness at the hospital by ogling a very nice young lady in fatigues and big military boots (phwoar) and falling in love with a med student purely on the basis of his shoes. He also had cool glasses and big floofy hair. ♥

Looking into things to do in Bath because the thought of moving out is a big part of what's keeping me nominally sane at the moment. You aren't all going to laugh at me if I consider taking up fencing, right?

That all very much depends upon which weapon(s) you eventually settle on. ;op

Hooray for no sinister innards! And pointy swords are ftw.

It is a sport involving swords and moderately silly outfits. And, to repeat, swords.

In what way is this not awesome?

Seriously? Fencing would totally suit you. Can see you brandishing a sabre and declaring yourself military supreme commander

belatedly...

...Glad to hear you're not suffering from anything too scary and that it will go away soon, hopefully. *hugs*

You should go visit Bath for a weekend - a more thorough explore. And fencing would be very impressive! (and yes, slightly amusing too)
Take care m'dear. If you fancy meeting up somewhere over the spring let me know...
