Hee. I made a CD for one of my students yesterday - I'm probably not supposed to do such things but she can't really communicate with ease and she has a hell of a time making friends, so when she has me yammering away at her about whatever comes into my head you should see the grin on her face. (Okay, sometimes she's laughing at me, but it's not exactly an uncommon compulsion.) Anyway, she's highly emo and she's played me things on her iPod before; a lot more hardcore than I tend to listen to these days, but six years ago in college? Absofrickin'lutely.

This has had me scrolling through all my old CDs - before I even started having music on computers, really - and digging out some seriously metal RAWR stuff.

I'm now listening to a collection of The Mars Volta (couldn't find my At The Drive In CD! D:!), Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down, Incubus, Muse, Cave In, Sunna...

I'm gonna start headbanging in a minute, seriously. I feel more up for actually doing something than I have in a long while. This is definitely tidying room music, I reckon. (AM I HARDCORE? HELL YEAH I'M HARDCORE!)
