Charlie Weasley.

1) Charlie used to love hanging out with his dad in the shed, playing with his collection of plugs. When you're related to the twins causing havoc all the time, and Bill being the angelic-faced cherub, and Percy with his brain, it's kind of difficult being the middle child with nothing in particular to recommend you. He wasn't interested in Muggle technology even remotely, sometimes dozed off during his dad's lectures, but occasionally he'd get a grin and a quick ruffle of his hair and that made it totally worth it.

2) You can't transfigure into magical creatures, obviously, because the different breeds of magic'd cause all sorts of problems, but Charlie wouldn't turn into a dragon anyway. They're fascinating and beautiful and dangerous and he loves them fiercely, but they're completely alien, too. Everything he's not. It's one of those things you do, though - talk about what you'd be, if you were an Animagus, if the idea wasn't bloody ridiculous with your grades at school. And Charlie always said he'd be an eagle or a falcon or something fast and winged, 'cos that's what he thought people expected him to say. Truth was, he thought he'd be a dog. Cheerful, and a bit stupid, and fiercely, dumbly loyal.

3) When Charlie kept growing taller and broader, not skinny and long like his older brother, when he worked out that being a Seeker was getting less and less easy and it'd probably make more sense to retrain as a Chaser or Beater, it just about broke his heart. It'd be easy enough to get involved with a local team, even in Romania, but he doesn't really play any more.
