I'm completely distractable and unable to settle today; I've watched the beginning of Grace Under Pressure with commentary, the Storm with commentary, the beginning of the Rising with commentary and the beginning of the Rising without commentary, all in the last hour. However, positive thing; I have worked out what my completely unhealthy and ridiculous paranoia that I've been experiencing of late stems from, and as a result it's pretty much disappeared. It's always nice to have something to blame. :D

1. My username is villainny because my mate Tom made me a tape in college and labelled it 'tape for Nny'. I've never really been happy with the other diminutive form of my name, and my full name reminds me too much of my mother and the way she says it when she's telling me off, so Nny was a happy new name for myself. I wanted to go with a permutation of that, and after various wanderings ended up with Villainny. So yes, I do know how you're supposed to spell it. :D

2. My journal is titled "The Frigging Drug Czar of Atlantis" because of an excellent SG:A fic. I can't actually remember who it was by off the top of my head - possibly helenish - but it's about Rodney and John getting stoned together. I think 'This is exactly what happened when I toked pot once in college' is possibly one of my favourite lines in canon from McKay, because with his careful adherence to the correct terminology he demonstrates precisely how uncool he really is. It's kind of adorable. (I like to think that Parrish is the real drug Czar).

3. My subtitle is "A five year old with porn" because... seriously, do I need to explain it? That's me, that is. That, that's me!.

4. My friends page is called "My Fluffy Subjects" because my previous journal name was 'King Lummox, Czar of all the pillows' which is a quote from one of the Mizners, who were just unutterably cool. I liked having my comments revolving around pillows so I kept that, I stuck with the Czar theme, and it also gives me a happy mental image of living in a land of Flumps. So.

5. My default userpic is because David Hewlett is awesome. No, seriously. Actually, it's an image from a truly bizarre Canadian film called 'Nothing' which stars David Hewlett and was directed by the guy who did 'Cube' which I'm told is very good - I've downloaded it but have yet to watch. Anyway, it's a nice picture with suggestions of friendship and slash and a vague sense of either potential (what are we gonna do tonight, Brain?) or mischief (are you pondering what I'm pondering?) both of which make me happy.

6. BONUS QUESTION: My livejournal name is Pfützenhüpfer because it's Puddlejumper in German. It's a very pleasing word to say and I've been crowing it at intervals over the past couple of days, plus there's the puddle jumping part which just suggests rain and wellies and my 'GLEE' icon (see above) so again with the happy associations.

In conclusion, I am neither deep, nor meaningful. I like things that make me happy and make me laugh, and I have yet to grow up.

I can deal with that.

Heh.

1. My username is florahart because I couldn't come up with anything cool. This was easy.

2. My journal is titled Marshmallows because I wrote Marshmallow Porn, about Peeps, which are the little marshmallow easter bird-shaped things with colorful sugar on them, and on the commenting therein I said somethign to the effect, well, with me, sometimes you get hot porn, and sometimes you get marshmallows. "Sometimes You Get Marshmallows" is my "name" that isn't my username.

3. My subtitle is "of many flavors" because, see above. Sometimes, sweet and sticky, sometimes not. Though really, given the sparkly sugar, it probably should be "of many colors" instead.

4. My friends page is called Peeps because see above about porn marshmallow peeps, and then as soon as it occurred to me using Marshmallows as a title meant I could use Peeps as a pun for mah peeps as in people, well. This is also why it will probably remain Marshmallows forever.

5. My default userpic is this one because it is heavily associated with me and it's been this one since. Um. Good lord. Three years-ish. I changed it for a while, but then no one knew I was me (including me).

1. my username is midnight_violet because i named myself after a paintpot shaped handbag i've had for years. Drunk people tend to start trying to open it wrong.
aaaand, the only other bit of this i have is my picture, which is just right, and made for me specially. i like things that people have found/picked for me, dontcha know?

3. My subtitle is ...if I had a gun. And there were more than one of me. And I called it "math". because I'm sadly not a math nerd with guns.

4. My friends page is called A conspiracy of cartographers because, like England, it probably doesn't really exist.

5. My default userpic is Tree (with bark) because I'm a great big dork.

1. My username is Telesilla because according to legend she was an Argive poet who, after the Spartans defeated the men of Argos, rallied and armed the women and beat the Spartans back. Also it means "chairlift" in Spanish which is fantastically surreal.

2. My journal title is "relax, I know how to make cement" because I had a dream in which several people were totally panicked about something and I said "relax, I know how to make cement." Incidentally, I don't really know how to make it.

3. I don't have a subtitled because nothing really works with the title.

4. My friends page is "The Usual Suspects" not because of the movie of the same name but because of the line from Casablanca.

5. My default user pic is the purple girl because I think she's lovely and if I were going to write a Mary Sue, she'd look just like that. I've had the full pic forever and I wish I remember where I got it so I could credit the artist.

1. My username is coolteamblt because I was on a search and rescue team during high school. I became a lieutenant, and I was assigned Team B. Incidentally, we were the coolest team in the patrol. Ergo, I was the Cool Team B Lt. I left the group in 2004, but I can't bring myself to change my name.

2. My journal is titled "this city now doth, like a garment, wear the beauty of the morning" because it is a line from "Composed Upon Westminster Bridge" by William Wordsworth. The line makes me happy.

3. My subtitle is "all bright and glittering in the smokeless air" because it is the second part of the line that is my journal title. The whole line didn't fit into the journal title.

4. My friends page is called Cool Team B because I'm the lieutenant, and my friends are my team.

5. My default userpic is this one because I think it's visually interesting. It's also the first userpic that I had made especially for me. The numbers on the stairs follow the Fibonacci sequence, which makes me so math-geekily happy.

The sad part is, I had to go check before I could answer some of these.

1. My username is fer_de_lance because... well, because my old one was discovered by RL people who really, really didn't need to know about my pr0n habits. I'd set this up a while ago with the vague intention of using it for something, and thus had it already when I needed to move fast. I chose the name because it's a snake, and suggests Slytherin without tying me too tightly to HP.

2. My journal is titled 'Scales and Tales' because I use it to rec fanfic, and I am not terribly clever. The old journal was titled "And What Are You Two Doing Here?", because this is a canon quote from a scene wherein Snape has cornered Harry alone in the halls at night. If I have to explain why I'd choose a title pertaining to Snape and Harry being alone in the halls at night, well, I'm afraid there's just no hope for you. :D

3. My subtitle is lair of a Slytherin slasher because... um, because it's self-explanatory? I like this subtitle, though. Something about it is just very euphonic. (Old subtitle: an odd place to meet, again in reference to the canon scene that spawned the old title.)

4. My friends page is called serpentine smiles because it is composed of people who make me smile. Yes, very deep, aren't I? I should probably say something about how smiles aren't associated with snakes, i.e. are subtle and not easily recognised by just anyone; and my flist is composed of all sorts, a surprising hodgepodge with no recognisable common factor or detectable reason.

(Old flist: 'We're not- meeting here," said Harry. "We just - met here.' I like this one a lot, because it was just such a gimme -- part of the same canon scene, but I also loved the way it seems to apply to fandom, and flists in particular: people whom I had no idea existed, till I stumbled across them by chance. Not a planned meeting between people, but rather a coincidental accumulation based on some shared subject.)

5. My default userpic is this one ^ because, well, at first I didn't have one, and I needed one! So I looked up a few pictures of a fer-de-lance, and drew something that would serve. I'm immensely proud of it because I made it, even though I see a multitude of technical flaws in it.
