How can there be no black thread? There's white and grey and pink and turquoise and jade green and blue and red but no black, therefore plans for tonight are thwarted. Or... the productive bits, at least; I'm still going to watch Stargate: Atlantis, just without the trouser-sewing that was going to accompany.

I haven't watched SGA for about a month, actually. I tend to get like this when I'm writing in a fandom; when I was playing in [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar I didn't read Good Omens for about the first year of it, absolutely terrified that I'd see everywhere I was going wrong, and somehow I've become a lot more invested in SGA fandom than I was with GO. I have about 15 AUs planned, and three stories that I'm actively working on at the moment - where by 'actively working on' I mean 'faff about with without actually writing anything' because I'm not big with the confidence currently.

Came up with a New! Fun! idea at work today, and have pages of notes on it, but sadly cannot get to the writing part because I've been typing 7.5 hours a day for a week and a half now and my hands are kinda going 'Um? Arthritis? Remember how you're still getting rid of that?' which... not good. Um. Points me in a vaguely financially screwed direction. So I'm going to wear gloves tomorrow and ignore it and hope desperately for faint improvement in weather. Think me good thoughts, yes?

I go dribble on Rodney now.

Also? Gimme snaps. *grabby hands*

Interesting approach -- funny, but I go the exact opposite when I'm writing a character: I have to keep reading/watching in order to be sure I've got their "voice" right, even when I'm writing AU ... Diff strokes, diff folks, eh? ;D
