He had tried so hard not to let this become a relationship. He had done everything in his power to discourage the boy, short of actually hexing him into next week… though he had been tempted. On many occasions.

But still Harry… Potter stayed. Sitting in the corner, reading; debating (surprisingly intelligently) on his plans for the latest DADA lessons, or yelling back at him, red faced, eyes flashing…

Or crying out when he couldn’t keep silent anymore. Holding him while he slept.

Making him breakfast in bed.

And he knew how to make eggs exactly how Snape liked them.
