Rincewind dreamily shelved books. This was what he enjoyed- the air of utter changelessness within the library. A stray grimoire fluttered overhead.

Aaargh! No! Not my arm…

There was a stillness in the air. Purified boredom. You could almost breathe it in. He took a deep breath, happily.

I’m sorryyyy! Please, no!!!

He wandered dreamily toward the disturbance, then watched as the Librarian swung past in a foul temper, letting out cross-sounding “ooks” under his breath.

He looked down at the unfortunate students.

“Only I’m allowed to call him monkey.” He informed them, with a satisfied glint in his eye.
