I'm still responding to comments left on the poll but in the meantime, seriously guys thank you so much for the quick and thoughtful responses to my questions. It's been incredibly useful in terms of designing further questionnaires, rewording the questions to make them clearer, as well as suggesting other areas of study that should be undertaken.

This is only a reasonably small study that I'm doing but the temptation is enormous to extend this and attempt to publish elsewhere, somewhere, even if it's only online so that you can all have a look at what I'm finding out. In particular I want to look at the extent to which sex ed lessons are heteronormative and more pointedly how far the educators are aware of this; the poll's shown that there are other huge problems with the way that sex education is taught that I hadn't even considered. I had no idea I was so lucky in my schooling, and my access to external sources of information, seriously.

I will be creating a seperate journal for polls, feedback etc. if I'm permitted to do this study and I'll let you know as soon as it's done; I'd rather my Professional Tutor and so on didn't find all my ramblings about the gayness of John and Rodney.

There was something I meant to ask you about the poll yesterday-how come you didn't want UK residents orientation? Just curious really, are there laws in this country regarding homosexuality? Can't remember, all I know is that only hetero was taught at my school (and barely that) and someone told me how girl-on-girl has never been illegal because of Queen Victoria saying women would never do such a thing (do you know if this is true?)

See, that was a screw up - I thought the questions would be numbered and the 'other' category was necessarily a second question due to the different form the answer had to take. So when I was saying 'go to question 3' or whatever, I just meant you didn't need to answer the 'other' section.

Definitely going to sort that bit out for next time.
