Nov. 7th, 2007 09:36 amOH MY GOD awesome awesome awesomesauce!!!
(You can tell I'm a professional adult now, huh?)
I have immense amounts of support from the head teacher concerning the study I want to do on homosexuality and homophobia and so on within schools. It's a really current, relevant issue and she has said that since my professional tutor has so many people to check up on with regards to the study she would be happy to personally supervise and back me up, and would love it if I could keep her informed on my progress. She's giving me access to current resources, giving her consent for me to talk to groups of students at lunch times, told me I should talk to sixth formers - including one in particular who's come out - and asked me to let her know if there are difficulties with getting staff to respond to questions and so on. I'm also attending the planned training session this Friday and has advised that I speak to the woman running them between so that I can get her support as concerns research methods and so on, as well.
I'm really not sure what my question will be - there were many aspects brought up and covered, and I'll have to make sure the focus is narrow enough - but this is just so amazing after the initial shut-down reaction that made me so wavery and tear-soaked.
Oh, and I came out as bi to her, also. It's something I become happier and more confident about, every time it comes up.
Oh. Just. Glee.
