Birthday things - London
Nov. 16th, 2007 08:30 pmOkay, so I'm thinking that possibilities for my boithday stuff includes:
* Weekend of the 15th/16th December because the week before I have Looming Deadlines and Work. The week after the 15th/16th I'm free as the proverbial. :D
* Ice skating. Possibly at Kew or the ally pally; I'd be thinking of the latter more only I've never been to Kew. Hmm.
* Food. Somewhere. Not a clue where, somewhere relatively cheap and cheerful would be pleasant because I don't want to make people spend too much money; I'm kind of hoping London peeps can help me out with plans here.
* Drinking. Again, somewhere - I'd prefer somewhere at which I will be able to have a conversation should I so desire and a dance should I so desire, but again with the London-ness and my complete lack of familiarity thereof.
* St James Park. For no other reason than I love St James Park. Not remotely a necessity but it'd be nice if I could fit it in.
I could also use a floor on which to sleep, if that's not too much trouble.
*hopeful smile*
There will also most likely be a visit to Cardiff around that time, also, so Cardiff people - while absolutely welcome to come to London! - don't have to spend all that money if they don't want to. :D

Date: 2007-11-16 09:16 pm (UTC)1. Kew is a bajillion miles from everywhere, but other places like the Royal Art Academy and the Natural History Museum and Hyde Park will have skating rinks also.
2. Mi Casa, etc. Also, we might EVEN have a non-fucked sofa by then, our landlady has said.

Date: 2007-11-17 12:55 am (UTC)Kew is juuust across the river from me, also. I assume you know this? At least, now you do. So that would be a) AWESOME b) I know where good stuff is in that area and how to get around. And it's a little far from stuff, but not really that bad - District Line is direct enough. And the ice rink there is ridiculously pretty, but book fast if you want in! And not having to trek to do a millibrits thing would entertain me enormously.

Date: 2007-11-17 02:20 pm (UTC)Also, totally unrelated but the below looks awesome and I think you should join Rachel (Hippy) and myself (and whoever we can convince!) - may book by Jan to get good seats, it isn't too expensive, but oh, pretty...
