Band Name: DUR
An immature-lyric obnoxiously-bright-shirt college rock type band with a frankly ridiculous collection of different coloured and patterned baseball boots. Quite possibly there are brass instruments involved.
Album Name: Jane West
The woman who used to babysit the bassist when he was tiny. She's old now, and kind of awesome but crazy.
Track 1: Llancanelo Lagoon
Named for a cocktail. A song about walking home in the dark and running into trees.
Track 2: Karol Sidor
About getting drunk and singing Christmas songs. Obviously.
Track 3: Intimidation
This one's a poorly disguised metaphor for penises.
Track 4: Talkin' 'bout a Revolution
Seriously. I couldn't make this up. *grins*
Track 5: 5th District Appellate Court
The drummer named this one. No one wanted to ask.
Track 6: Cubic IDE
This one's about not wanting to grow up and work in a cubicle. They don't actually know what it means, just thought it sounded cool at the time. They have a geek following because of it, though, and they're all for that.
Track 7: Honker Union
A song about being chucked out of Hooters.
Track 8: Shout It Out (Kingpin single)
Cover.
Track 9: Fan Club CD Vol. 2 (Out of Print)
About their support for downloading songs from the internet.
Track 10: William J. O'Brien
This one is also about penises. It has been argued that all of their songs are, in fact, about penises; none of the band have denied this.
Track 11: Siege of Dunboy
Attempting to get laid, although couched in various historical metaphors. This is the song that people's mums like.
Track 12: Don Balón
A song about the sheer pointlessness of soccer. Subtitled: Dan Rydell Is Imaginary But We Want To Shake His Hand.
Track 13: Symbolic Manipulation Program
This is a song about how they don't understand dating. The lyrics are actually quite sweet, in places.
Track 14: Barbour Griffith & Rogers, LLC
Penises.
Track 15: Black-tailed Dasyure
Trust me. You don't want to know.

Date: 2007-12-09 12:00 pm (UTC)Your band > my band. However, if you're not careful I'm gonna write your band as the support act for my band in the Southern states. It will add healthy friction.
Penises.
I love you.
