I was standing in the quad and GAPING. Huge old buildings with (looking through the windows, because I haven't been inside) ridiculously high ceilings and rich colours on the walls- colours that overwhelm normal sized houses and interior designers should be forcibly restrained from. On three sides there are huge white/grey buildings, and on the fourth, red brick. There's a random arch thing in the middle which has statues on it, holding Deeply Symbolic Ityms, which I wot not of, as I'm a little undereducated in such matters. There's so much green (and admittedly grey- the weather's not amazing), but it's just... nothing beats universities over here.
