So the doctor told me I should really lose some weight, which is no news to me; I'm not obese, but I could definitely stand to get rid of a number of pounds. I've already made an involuntary start on it, which might even continue since conflict cripples me and makes me entirely unable to eat, but I have to turn it into more of an active thing. And active really is the operative word; I genuinely don't eat all that much, I just don't move either. That's part of what comes of having much of your social world on your computer, you see.
So I've looked into the opening times of the local swimming pool, and I've looked at the times scheduled for adult lane swimming and...
6:30 to 9:00 am?!
... well shit.
Can I take the executive decision to remain fat, rather than give up Thursday mornings in bed?
*sighs*
I'm waiting until the weather gets a little warmer, at least.

Date: 2006-03-03 05:28 am (UTC)I'll always remember a lovely woman who came in the early mornings before she went to work at a hospice. She had to have a pager on her at all times in case something happened to one of her patients, and I used to keep an eye on the pager for her by keeping it beside my chair when I was watching the swimmers. She was always grateful for it and never failed to wish me a happy day when she left. ^_^
