Still ficcing merrily away. Distractions, however, are always welcomed.

Er... an easy meme. Ask me a question and I will answer honestly.

Unless the answer impacts on more than just myself, you know how it is. :)

Oh! And I forgot to say, you're welcome to go anonymous.

Quirky and idiosyncratic.

A banana covered in carefully biro'd Neruda or a carefully cooked meal or a cup of tea just when I'm feeling at my most down. A hug when I need it. Getting dressed up and going to a gallery and symbolically presenting someone with a work of art that maybe they've never seen before but I know they'll love. A pineapple in y-fronts for valentines day. Things that take thought rather than money. Someone knowing me well enough to know exactly what I like - someone paying enough attention to my ridiculous ramblings and remembering the little things and giving them to me exactly when I'm most in need of them.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Do you believe in love before that?

Oh, honey. I hope so much you find it.

No. Not at first sight. Not for me, at least. I believe in the idea of 'I think I could love you' at first sight.

Love before that? For someone. Not me. Love is too...love is too much about friendship for me. I believe and hope and dream that there is One out there for me, and I worry some days that I've met him before and chased him off entirely because I flirted with the Overly Social boy in an act of nerves instead of what I wanted. But my love is a big dorky best friend boy, and I need to know him for years to know I love him.

What is your favorite type of story, and why?

Hmm. That's an interesting one.

I think, in terms of published fic, fic where it's not all about the relationships, it's stories that are fantastic and that, crucially, you can make yourself a part of. Like Neil Gaiman's work, where everything is magical but it's taking place in our world, if you only know how to look at it.

In terms of fanfic, where it IS about the relationship, it's... more meaning than a shag. Relationships and screw ups and snarking, long long long long build ups with a really satisfying kiss as the climax. It's not about the sex, for me.

What's your ambition? What, if you achieve it, will make you thoroughly happy?

A husband and a little theatre where I'm staff. May be in a medium sized large city, like say Boston or DC, but never NYC. Or a husband and an associate professorship or faculty at a small, liberal arts college teaching theatre history. Or being an eternal student, traveling universities, and a husband.

Hmmmm. What is your meaning of life?

Living in such a way that if something did create me, they're proud to have done it.

I want to make people happy.

What's your favourite piece of clothing?

My old university theatre sweatshirt. :) Of all my stuff, that's my favorite. I had to earn that thing.

And I'm not going to ask you a question because I must do proper work now. But thanks for playing with me! :)
