NOBODY IS TALKING!

Why is nobody talking? My friendslist echoes. My friendslist should NOT be echoing. I also should not be this hot and sticky, but since when has the Universe listened to me? I pay my dues, observe my holy days, carry out all ritual sacrifices, and do I have Paul Bettany inna box? I do not. Injustice! HELP HELP I'M BEING OPPRESSED! Possibly with fewer Ps.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is my favourite.

I declare this post free for all. SPAM. Anonymeme. Comment war. Drabble fest. WHATEVER YOU WANT JUST DON'T LEAVE ME IN THIS HELLISH SILENCE!

Skeevy is watching, you know...

I am watching 'From Hell'. It is DISTRACTING OMG.

Okay, I paused it. STILL DISTRACTNG OMG.

Perhaps I should pause on a different frame. :D

I am also semi-winning at multitasking due to writing a journal entry and obsessively re-editing my Raguel/Lucifer story due to beta from non-fandom reader this weekend. I might need to send it to you again, heh. *sheepish*

.......yes. Please do. And I will find some way of making up to you the fact that I am CRAP AND EVIL.

I have yet to see From Hell, also. It's on my to do list.

It, um. Let's just say that if you could see what I can see right now, it would probably jump a few steps up on your list.

That sounded really dirty, but I swear everyone involved is clothed. Currently. Unfortunately. Damn. Stupid mac. Why can I not screencap? :(

Because God hates you. Because of the UST.

:D?

Because of which UST? There are so many reasons I could be hellbound. XD Strangely, I find this funny rather than distressing.

And now I search for a program to help me screencap. Probably illegal. *adds that to the list*

STILL have not seen it. I know it's out there. But I worry there is not room in my head for more fandom. Except for your description at the museum - that was hysterical. XD

Yay! I love the mac, but these silly anti-piracy restrictions are annoying. I'm not going to sell it, for crying out loud. I am going to use snapshots to encourage others to see the movie. Isn't that a good thing? *blinks innocently*

You don't smother me! It's more like... if I'm not feeling well, and stuck in a crowd of pushy drunks. Or those times I'm at work on a Monday and the TEN THOUSANDTH PERSON says 'how was your weekend?' just like every. single. Monday. for the last two years, and it's only polite conversation but my weekend was absolute crap and yet I keep giving the same bland, meaningless answer. This is a recent pet peeve. ;) That's the occasion for the spiky sculpture. You are anti-spiky, despite Skeevy's best efforts.

I like this one too, but I have no rational explanation for it. I don't know for certain what it means for me. Needs further pondering.

*grins* you want me to ramble? My response to art always seems to be rambling.

Ramble! Hey, it's worked before. :D

Okay. Reasons it appeals to me:

The obvious reasons are the kind of... moods it illustrates. I mean, there's the foetal position 'I am woodlouse, hear me squeak faintly', the staring out to sea which I kind of imbue with a sense of longing - it's the running away to sea thing, I think. There's always been romance - and the awe. The air one is definitely in a position of awe. And these three states so very much describe the majority of my reactions to anything that impress me. And those three elements/landscapes/whatever are such intrinsically impressive things... we forget to think about them in that way a lot, I think, but they are these enormous things that if you step back and think for a second, actually look... bloody hell. These are also the three ways I look at writing or art that impresses me on LJ, too. I want to be able to do it, I'm awed by it, I curl into small ball due to lack of possibility of ever matching.

Then there's kind of... land as safety and ... not so much isolation as lack of opening up, lack of interaction, sea as even gaze, allowing and open body language, more kind of... equal terms, I guess, and air as this awed position, worshipful. This is totally coming to mind because I'm thinking about Aziraphael and Crowley and how Aziraphael wavers between the first and last and really hasn't managed to get a hold on the middle way yet, which he REALLY NEEDS TO PLEASE. The Prior's got that, I think. So he has five hundred years to work on it. *sighs*

I am totally rambling and should go to bed very shortly so I'll shut up. It's easier to ramble about such things in person.

*nods* I think I get bogged down with titles. I really like to know what things are called - the 'untitled' ones drive me batty - but I shouldn't use it as a starting point so much - tends to prescribe what I think I should be seeing. Is it just me, or does the standing one look very slightly round-shouldered, like the figure is hunched just a little bit? It's hard to tell from the angle - maybe he's just neutral.

Aziraphael and the land one reminds me of his ostrich in the sand comment. ;) I don't think it's entirely his fault - the worshipful pose is kind of his default state for a reason, after all. And angels don't seem to have been designed for interaction with peers in any meaningful way. I mean, just look at them. All of them. But hopefully Aziraphael will not need the entire 500 years. Eep.

Clearly the solution here is to visit so there can be rambling in person. :]
