Nov. 8th, 2006 05:58 pmEEE I'M GOING TO SEE MATTHEW BOURNE'S SWAN LAKE FOR MY BIRTHDAY! For £13, no less. And tomorrow I'm also going up to London for a course on inclusivity for the deaf learner in the classroom which'll be interesting (I hope) and an excuse to meet up with
apiphile and possibly
kenovay. HUZZAH!
In other news, the more I hear about Orson Scott Card, the more he comes across as an utter asshat.

Date: 2006-11-09 01:15 am (UTC)Family legend: my cousin, at a book-signing (many years ago, when he was a wee tiny cherubic thing and not a wannabe punk rocker), got grabbed as "the perfect Ender" by OSC, who started to go into grandiose plans of casting him in a starring role in the potential film. Shiny-eyed cousin was standing there with my aunt, to whom not a single word was addressed by Mr. Card before she got so frustrated and pissed off by him that she dragged wee cousin away.
