Angst-o-Rama
Aug. 7th, 2003 07:58 pmMy life at the moment? Yeah. You really don't want to know. Stuff is sucking left right and centre. I'm enjoying the drabbles, and that's pretty much it. It's too frickin' hot in this country, for a start. And I'm moving back to Cardiff in a few days, which is... kinda good, but I think I might be allergic to my room. I'll have to do some more cleaning.
I'm feeling invisible. Nobody seems to notice me in RL anymore. In fact, I *am* Richard Mayhew. I have fallen through the cracks. There's no one to pull me out.
So thanks everyone who comments at me and chats to me. If it weren't for you I'd be sobbing my little heart out. :(
Bollocks.

Hey Rich!
Date: 2003-08-07 08:15 pm (UTC)I've been enjoying your drabbles, too, BTW. Thanks! And I'm looking forward to reading your contributions to the SSFF this weekend - in case the heat (it's f***ing hot here, too!) permits me to read ;-)
*hugs*
Re: Hey Rich!
Date: 2003-08-07 10:27 pm (UTC)Thankyou kindly.
what I do and who I am on line is part of that real life
Part of my problem is my parents and friends' inability to accept that. It is important to me, and they just call me a geek. :(
Re: Hey Rich!
Date: 2003-08-08 05:03 am (UTC)Don't let that get to you too much and don't believe what they say about the 'online vs real live issue'. Who "spends all her time online"? You. You're the expert on that matter, aren't you?
*hugs*

Date: 2003-08-07 10:03 pm (UTC)As for real life... it has its ups and downs, doesn't it? Just hang in there.

Date: 2003-08-07 10:30 pm (UTC)Just read a story in the paper about a depressive woman who slit her wrists and jumped out of a window in part because of the heat... I'm not *that* bad. It does get you down, though. I *long* for rain.

Strange... heat doesn't usually get me down, just makes me very lazy and unable to focus.
And you know... slashers can't help being online a lot... often it's the only way to get in touch with other slashers. We need each other!
(in case you don't consider yourself a slasher, now would be a good time to tell me. I have had friends, online and in RL who read slash and in some cases write too but do not want to be called slashers)

Date: 2003-08-07 11:11 pm (UTC)And hell yeah, I'm a slasher! You can't have as many pairings as I have in my to-do folder and *not* call yourself one. *g* I am proud to be a slasher. Also proud to be a drabble whore... and I have an award from Immora to prove it. =)

Date: 2003-08-07 10:52 pm (UTC)Lovely drabble, Nny. Thanks a lot. Can you do Snape/Neville?
Accident: Neville/Snape
Date: 2003-08-08 02:53 pm (UTC)“I’m impressed, Mr Longbottom. In my detention you have managed, through incompetence, to create something that many of your peers study in order to manufacture in secret.”
Snape’s eyes were glittering strangely.
“This, Mr Longbottom, You unutterable fool, is not the potion I asked for.” Snape started to move toward him, his colour heightened. “This is, instead, a very powerful aphrodisiac.”
“I’m… I’m sorry,” faltered Neville. He eyed the approaching professor nervously. “What should I do? Do you want me to get Madam Pomfrey?”
“I suggest, Mr Longbottom, that you run.”
