hi, I hate to be a random who comes in and says "well, no" but I came across this post on a friend's flist, and it struck a chord. First, I'll say that I do masturbate, although, it's more fun with my girlfriend on the phone.

However, there are girls who do NOT masturbate for very valid reasons. Maybe some girls are repressed, maybe some girls are asexual, and maybe some girls have Serious Health Problems that make it really unenjoyable. My roommate for example. She can't ride a bike, can't use tampons, and definitely never wanted to touch herself because it HURT. She has every desire to have sex with her boyfriend, but can't because of vaginismus.

sorry for the ramble, but like I said, this struck a chord, and I wouldn't want my friend to be mispercieved if you heard her say she never masturbates.

I honestly don't judge anyone who doesn't - it's more a judgement of the blokes who are so disgusted by the concept and the girls who allow them to be for the sake of propriety. I admitted this once and shocked a male friend -- apparently, he assumed that since I'm asexual enough to have no interest in partners, I'm dead below the neck. Wrong!

Though, in later discussions, I suspect I am a bit strange about it. Especially from a male perspective. It's rarely related to what I'm viewing (have read really, really hot pr0n without wanking, and have wanked while reading research materials for an English paper, etc.), and I don't climax. (Used to! Not sure what happened there!)

But I've wanked since my age was in the single-digits, and though I've met females who don't, for one reason or another, most of those it's ever come up with admit that they do.
